Registration Options

Cue Camp Virginia (CCVA) offers the following scholarships, discount programs, and financial assistance opportunities. Please review all options and select the one that best applies to you or your family. If any family member is volunteering, please select the Volunteer Registration tab in the top navigation bar to register the entire family. (The Jump-Start-Cued-Speech Discount for Preschool Families and the New-to-Cued Speech Discount for Families of Grade-Schoolers are both available from the Volunteer Tab.)

Jump-Start-Cued-Speech Discount (for Families with Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing Infants or Preschoolers)

Language acquisition is most critical in the early years prior to age five. Families of D/HoH infants and preschoolers may attend CCVA for the all-inclusive price of the $75.00 registration fee. This payment includes all meals, lodging, classes, child care, presentations, and programmed social activities for the entire weekend for up to 8 family members (may include caregivers, supporting professionals, friends, or extended family members). Because all close family members and caregivers serve as language models for young children, we encourage maximum participation.

Adam Schuler Memorial Scholarship (for current and future Professionals)

Adam Schuler was an original “Cue Camp Kid”, the son of Cue Camp Virginia founders Barbara and Doug Schuler. Deafened from medications used to treat his Severe Combined Immunodeficiency (SCID), Adam benefited from the skills and dedication of numerous professionals in many fields related to deafness. This competitive scholarship is an all-inclusive full camp payment for a professional or an individual studying to become a professional, in a field related to deafness, such as education, cued language transliteration, audiology, speech and language, research, etc.

The application deadline for the Adam Schuler scholarship is Sunday, September 24th. No registration fee is required to be submitted with this application. The winner(s) will be notified by Tuesday, September 27th.

Roddy McKendree Memorial Camp Fund Financial Assistance (for any Cue Camp Attendee)

Roddy McKendree was a “founding father” of Cue Camp Virginia (CCVA), and a selfless volunteer at the camp until his untimely passing in 2007. A generous man with a big presence and an even bigger heart, Roddy wanted all families with deaf/hoh children to have the opportunity to attend Cue Camp. Available funds may be used by any CCVA family with financial need, on a first-come-first served basis; apply early!  Please contact the Camp Directors via email (nvcsa@yahoo.com) if any member of the family would also like to volunteer.

Applications for financial assistance will be considered in the order received.
